Vampires seem to prevail! Vampires seem to biting us at the right spot, from popular television shows such as True Blood to movies such as Twilight, they are everywhere.

Vampires, the pale mystique creatures who instantly heal and could diminish from a stab at the heart and sunlight. The popularity of Vampires in the media has greatly increased. Shows used to showcase the "vampire slayers" as the main characters but now it was time to see where the Vampires were coming from.


HBO series True Blood started the trend in 2008 with their first season.

It continues to get high and positive remarks from its audience and always leaving us wanting more. But had True Blood met its match with CW's new series, Vampire Diaries ?

The show may already be a book series but it honestly sounds a lot like movie, Twilight but I guess we will have to wait until September 10th for the shows premiere to see if it will HBO a run for its money.
