“It’s a bit mad, isn’t it? It feels like it’s happened all of a sudden and at some shows this season the front row was just all bloggers. I think it will die down though, and people know what they are doing. No one who wants to read a serious review of a show is going to look at what a 14-year-old thinks. But it has become more critical; people can say what they want about anyone on a blog without consequences and that’s quite scary. There are real repercussions for a designer if a photo of something is leaked by a blog; it can be copied in a fortnight and that can really harm a business. You have to be much more careful now.” —Christopher Kane weighs in on blogging.
An interesting and harsh statement from designer Christopher Kane. Originally I questioned who or what could possibly lead the designer to release this quote? I honestly felt like it was an attack on fashion bloggers (*cough* me). I was hoping the statement wasn't directed to 13 year old fashion blogger, Tavi.
Tavi has an amazing blog by the way, I love it.
Of course my quest to find what caused such a statement continued by clicking the link.
this is what I found:
and here is the link : http://frockwriter.blogspot.com/2009/06/christopher-kane-taps-british.html
*Due to the length of the post hit the link.
My views are still unclear if Frockwriter had something to do with the post. I just felt the need to blog since it is extremely interesting to me.
HMMMM...
*views? other thoughts? I want to hear them so comment.
