I know that my blog is a predominately fashion and entertainment focused one but I do value the importance on staying up to date on current events.

I woke up to numerous tweets regarding Tiger Woods cheating scandal.... Whoa, like I really care?
I don't mean to sound cold hearted but there are other things, specifically President Obama's Afghanistan speech that demand the people's attention more than a cheating scandal.
It's truly unfortunate what issues our society places on a pedestal as opposed to issues that are truly news worthy.

The candidate who had called the surge in the Iraq war "reckless" was proposing a surge of his own in Afghanistan. - Gloria Borger , a senior political analyst for CNN.

"If I did not think that the security of the United States and the safety of the American people were at stake in Afghanistan...I would gladly order every single one of our troops home tomorrow." - President Obama
