Lite: Out to Lunch

I did a post a couple of weeks ago with a link for a song off of Lite's mixtape Out to Lunch. Well the mixtape was released December 22nd. I decided I would spend my waiting hours at JFK airport listening and composing a review for it, well here it is. Better late than never.

Lite is the epitome of strong lyricist. He has the method to just grab all of your attention with his words. With Out to Lunch, his amazing story telling methods are prevalent with tracks The Adventures of Charlie Tuna , The Feeling and others. The level of talent and creativity with this mixtape is profound. This mixtape is pure genius! I personally love Gods of War the most.

model crush: Keats Kolyasnikova

Like most of the crushes, I fell in love with these models by looking at editorial shoots or campaigns.
I remember looking at a editorial shoot for Lula Magazine and falling in love with this models overall look. I quickly looked for her name and there it was, Keats. Keats is an incredible model and I am not the only one who believes such.

In July (2009) Models.Com featured Keats as Model of the Week.

More recently, Vogue UK published a list of 23 models to watch for 2009. The lovely Keats is featured among many other incredible new faces.

God Save The Queen

Let me start this by saying that I have been waiting for this movie since Emily Blunt was featured in Vanity Fair earlier this year in full Victorian wardrobe.

Her majesty, the Queen. Queen Victoria that is. The movie Young Victoria stars Emily Blunt.
On the eve of her 18th birthday and succession to the English throne, young Princess Victoria is caught in a royal power struggle. But, it is her blossoming relationship with Belgian Prince Albert that will determine the strength of her reign. Can she dedicate her life to her country and her heart to the one man she truly loves? Discover the passion and the romance behind one of history's greatest love stories.

Here is the magnificent shoot I was referring to above.

photos of the day.

There are three of many editorial shoots from the year 2009 that completely stand out to me. All of which are photographed by Vanina Sorenti.

May 2009- Alana Zimmer "Keep Candles Handy" i-D Magazine

Winter 2009-  Myf Sheperd 10 Magazine

Winter 2009 Shalom Harlow i-D Magazine

I absolutely love the dual photo concept. Each editorial shoot is phenomenal!

seeing double?

Model, Snejana Onopka graced the cover for Numero Korea (Dec 09) styled by French stylist Charles Varenne. Snejana wore pieces from Balmain, Givenchy and Dior.

The piece is from Balmain F/W 09 Collection

Model Anne Sophie Monrad was featured in Numero Tokyo (Nov 09). Styled by Charles Varenne.

I guess, Varenne fell in love with the Balmain dress.
I don't blame him! I love this dress!

LOVE .

I honestly have never been the "chick flick" kind of girl. I prefer action and thriller movies but my heart is anxious to purchase a ticket to see Valentine's Day. The movie trailer looks incredible! It definitely appears to cover the many different cases of Valentine's Day, the lovebirds, the distant lovers, the heartbroken, the teenage love, those who forget about the holiday...

The cast is full of all stars and I as a good friend of mine would say "My heart is smiling..."

Minnie Mouse.

Minnie Mouse, the adorable character has become a fashion icon! Minnie Mouse has been the inspiration for Vogue Germany.
Chanel Iman played Minnie Mouse for the shoot and she looks gorgeous doing such!

The inspiration also was used for Elle Italy (October 2009) with model, Angelika Kocheba starring as Minnie Mouse.

support LA.

I am a firm believer in the talent that my hometown, Los Angeles, holds. I am thankful for a talented group of individuals in my circle and I am amazed at the success and drive that they hold.

Today a good friend of mine, Kahlil dropped a mixtape along with artist Waren Vaughn. They go by the name Left Field and the tape is titled So Far Left Field. The tape is truly amazing and I urge everyone to download it.

My personal favorites on the tape are : Skyy Lady, Top Model, Parachute, Dope, Business, Its All New, and Ice Cream.

Lite is an amazing rapper and I am truly amazed with his work and talent. Lite released a track titled But You produced by Emon.

alice in wonderland.

Fact:Alice in Wonderland is my all time favorite movie

The excitement for the release of the latest release of Alice in Wonderland is building up. I cannot wait for spring to come! Tim Burton, the director known for his amazing work for movies "Edward Scissorhands", "Sleepy Hollow", "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Corpse Bride". I have always loved his work and now Tim Burton has gotten ahold to my favorite movie!
The cast includes Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter,  and Crispin Glover .

Greatness is on its way.

Here is the trailer for the movie:

free hugs.

free hugs!

I always have my ipod on shuffle and Sick Puppies - "All The Same" came on. I remember originally hearing this song via music video. The video that I had seen was not an official Sick Puppies video but instead for the Free Hugs campaign. I remember watching this video and falling in love with the compassion shown in the video. I always wanted to run into one of the Free Hugs people well I got my chance last year. I remember seeing so many people run up for free hugs. It was amazing!

Here is the video. Perhaps something to brighten your day. Go hug someone, they may need it!

spotlight. Yu Tsai

Ever wondered who did the "scandalous" photographs of Lindsay Lohan for Muse Magazine? The photographer is Yu Tsai. Yu Tsai attended the Art Center College in Pasadena, CA. He is by far one of my favorite photographers. I love his work and this is exactly why he deserves the spotlight.

Here are some of me personal favorites of Yu Tsais work.

new year.

I just cannot believe that this year has gone by and will be over soon. Well, I couldn't fathom it until the release of January 2010 magazines were released.

Here are some of the 2010 Covers.
